Life before McCreas
I have been working in the financial services industry since 1990, initially with large insurance companies including Royal Life, Britannia Life, GE and Standard Life, before transitioning over to work in the IFA sector for McCrea Financial Services in 2011.
Favourite thing about working for McCreas
The variety of day-to-day tasks keeps things interesting and being part of a great team makes McCreas a great place to work.
Outside the office
When possible, I love to soak up the sun and often think I should have been born in Spain rather than Scotland! I spend most of my spare time out and about and have a passion for exploring the outdoors, which I believe provides a good balance between work and living in the city. This usually involves taking my horse out for a spin or walking (and quite often getting lost!) in random locations.
The other ‘healthy stuff’ like hill climbing and swimming is offset by the odd social event at weekends!
Aside from all this, I love a challenge; I have walked the West Highland Way, and in June 2018 successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge with some of my colleagues, to raise money for Action for Children Scotland. This challenge saw us climb Britain’s three highest mountains in just under 24 hours – 23 hours and 55 minutes to be precise!
I’m quite nifty on a pogo stick!
I would like to take a hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia in Turkey.
