Mercy Maina

Mercy joined McCrea Financial Services in the summer of 2016 as a part-time Administrator so that she could continue her studies, and works to support our paperless office environment system.

Life before McCreas

Mercy moved to Scotland in 2007 and worked initially with Hilton Hotels in the Financial Accounting Services Support Team (FASST) in Glasgow where she worked for seven years.  Thereafter she joined CBRE property in 2014 working with the accounts team and decided then to return to University to study for a degree in accountancy.

Favourite thing about working for McCreas

My favourite thing about working for McCreas, first and foremost is the people - everyone is very friendly. I also appreciate the freedom of being able to take initiative and be proactive in dealing with tasks. McCreas has been very accommodating in regards to my studies - I have the flexibility to fit my studies in around my work which means that I'm now on my way to achieving my Bachelor of Accounting, BACC (HONS) degree. 

 

 

Out of the office

As well as pursuing her degree studies, Mercy enjoys dancing and spending her time with her daughter. She has a gift for arts and crafts and particularly enjoys crocheting. Mercy also likes to cook. 

Fun fact(s)

During her time at University, Mercy completed a micro-tyco challenge where as part of a team, she was given £1 to grow within 4 weeks. Her team came first across all the UK universities having raised over £4,000. This money was donated to the micro-tyco charity fund.

If Mercy was a millionaire she would spend her days chasing the sun, i.e. holidaying.
