Our congratulations go to Tomas on winning the first McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month award of the season.

Tomas has started his Thistle career in fine form keeping two clean sheets in his first month as a Thistle goalkeeper, making a string of excellent saves in the process. His commanding displays at the back have brought confidence to an, at times, young and inexperienced defensive combination and he’ll no doubt be looking to increase his clean sheet ratio in the coming months.  

Tomas becomes the first goalkeeper to scoop the coveted award since Scott Fox won the gong in August 2013. The Czech custodian was a convincing winner securing almost 75% of the vote.

After winning the award Tomas said: "It's a real honour to win this award and I'm delighted that I have impressed our fans with my performances so far this season. Of course I am happy with how I have played but the bottom line is that we have not been winning enough points and we need to work hard as a team to improve on that.

"As a squad we are focused on achieving as much as we can for Partick Thistle Football Club and I will do everything I can to make sure I play a part in that."
