It’s not very often that you say a goalkeeper has bagged a hat-trick but that’s exactly what Partick Thistle goalkeeper Jamie Sneddon has done after he scooped his third consecutive McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month award!

The Thistle number one has won his third consecutive Player of the Month honour adding the December prize to those of October and November after beating Richard Foster and Kyle Turner in a tightly contested fan poll.

Sneddon kept two clean sheets in three games in December including an outstanding performance in our 0-0 draw against Queen of the South at Palmerston Park wherein he made one of the saves of the season to deny Lee Connelly a goal moments before half-time.

After receiving the award Jamie said:

“It’s a great feeling to have won the award again. It’s a fan-voted thing so it’s nice to be appreciated by the fans and I’m just really enjoying my football at the moment.

“Things are going well for me and the team but if I’ve learned anything over my time at the club it’s that you just need to enjoy what you’re doing when things are going well and make sure you stay focused and maintain those performance levels. I feel I’ve been playing well but the consistency that we’ve shown as a team has helped me reach my best and hopefully that can continue as we get deeper into the new year.”
