McCreas reveal "significant" expansion plans

McCrea Financial Services today (16 January 2018) announce plans for a significant increase in its staff numbers.

The Glasgow-based firm, which was established in 1999, is to increase its headcount by 20%, and is making long-term plans to move into larger office facilities.

McCreas, who hold the Investors in People Gold standard, have seen staff numbers double in recent years as the business has grown.  Client numbers have recently exceeded 1,000.

Funds under management are now in excess of £300m and the firms’ profile has increased through their sports sponsorships which include Glasgow Warriors and Partick Thistle.

To support these ambitious plans, a major recruitment drive has been launched and a new microsite is now live at www.mccreafs.co.uk/careers.

McCreas also reveal they have attained “Chartered” status from the Chartered Insurance Institute.  Only Firms that can demonstrate the highest commitment to professional standards, development and ethics can hold Chartered Financial Planner status and the award recognises the firm as one of the most qualified and experienced in their field based on a number of criteria.

In achieving this status, McCreas are in a group of less than 2% of Independent Financial Advisors in Scotland who hold this accreditation.

McCrea Financial Services Managing Director Douglas McCrea comments: “We are delighted to reveal our plans to increase our team during 2018.

“With over 1,000 clients which increases weekly, the expansion will help our commitment to  provide a professional and personal service to both existing and new clients which is always our number one priority.

“With that in mind, we are making a big investment to recruit for roles including independent financial advisers, paraplanners and senior administrators as well as in our Marketing department.

“We believe McCreas is a great place to work, and that there are tremendous opportunities for career and personal growth. We invest in our people and we treat them with enormous respect. In turn, the business benefits from a loyal, and dedicated team.

“The news that we have secured Chartered Status from the Chartered Insurance Institute is also fantastic, and reflects the hard work, experience and commitment from the whole team.

Separately, McCreas will continue to support a range of key community and charity initiatives over the course of the next 12 months, with two major announcements to follow in the coming weeks.
