The four nominees are:
Stuart Bannigan
Partick Thistle’s Mr Consistent for 14 seasons, Stuart Bannigan, has been Partick Thistle’s Mr More Than Consistent this season with a series of outstanding displays in midfield.
Stuart was not an automatic starter in the early stages of this campaign however come the autumn, not only was he starting, but was dominating the midfield with his form recognised with a hat-trick of consecutive McCrea Financial Services Monthly awards that started in November.
The now 32-year-old has made 33 appearances in Season 2024/ 25 and only the width of a Hampden post denied him a fine goal in last month’s win over Queen’s Park.
Logan Chalmers
It was hoped that Logan Chalmers’ arrival at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill last summer would see exciting attacking play from the former Dundee United player and that has been the case.
Playing in a wide position in his initial games Logan scored the winner against Queen’s Park in October and quickly followed that up with a goal with his first goal at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill when Hamilton Academical where the visitors.
Logan, who was the McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month for February, is now up to seven goals for the season after a stint as a striker, however his team-mates have benefited from his creativity as well with a total of 11 assists including last Saturday against Airdrieonians.
Brian Graham
Brian Graham has worn many hats at Partick Thistle this season and one of those is of top goalscorer with his 17 goals more than enough to see the club captain nominated as Player of the Season.
The number nine scored in the first three games of this season’s Premier Sports Cup and netted in the Challenge Cup before opening his account in the Championship with a strike against Falkirk.
Thirteen goals have followed from a total of 35 appearances with Brian also finding the time to manage Partick Thistle Women and the Men’s First team alongside Mark Wilson with only another four goals needed to make it 100 for the club.
Dan O’Reilly
Dan O’Reilly has not only been a solid defensive rock this season he as also been a consistent defensive rock as he has played every minute of every game.
The 29 year old Irishman has featured as a left -sided defender in a defensive three or four as well as playing at left back and picked up McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month Awards in September 2024 and March 2025.
Dan found the net for the first time for the club against Airdrieonians in December and followed that up with goals against Morton at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill and a recent winner against the Greenock men at Cappielow.
So, those are your nominees for the 2024/25 McCrea Financial Services Men’s Player of the Year award. Voting is now open and will close at 10am on Thursday.
