Partick Thistle September Player of the Month Nominees Announced!
There were only three competitive games played by Ian McCall’s Jags during the month of September but the team were keen to use these games to build on what had been a positive start to the season, and finishing the month top of the cinch Championship table indicates that they did just that.
So now as we prepare for a much busier October, it is time for you to pick your McCrea Financial Services September Player of the Month from the following nominees:
Stuart Bannigan
The Thistle number eight didn’t feature in the first game of the month against Arbroath at Gayfield but was recalled to the starting line-up for our home clash with Cove Rangers. Making his 325th appearance for the club, the midfielder popped up with a superb goal to put the Jags 2-0 up against Jim McIntyre’s side.

Steven Lawless
The winner of the August Player of the Month prize, Lawless continued his good form into September with his standout moments undoubtedly coming in the Cove Rangers game at Firhill. Firstly, he rifled in a sensational opening goal in front of the John Lambie Stand before then setting up Stuart Bannigan for his second half strike.

Jack McMillan
One of the early season standouts for the Maryhill men, Jack McMillan has become an integral part of Ian McCall’s starting line-up. Making marauding runs down the right flank and linking up excellently with Steven Lawless, McMillan also played his part in Thistle’s first league clean sheet of the season which came at Arbroath.

Harry Milne
Another part of the defence which kept that first clean sheet of the Championship season at Gayfield, Harry Milne has also cemented himself as an important part of the Thistle team. The left-back has quickly become a fans’ favourite due to his tireless work ethic and eye for a cross both of which have been on full display across the opening three months of the season.
