Shortlist for the McCrea Financial Services December Warrior of the Month Revealed!

Five wins in five games set the Warriors off to a momentous start as they head into 2023. Finishing off the year with the 1872 Cup win, Glasgow Warriors have been dominating their games in both the URC and the EPCR Challenge Cup.

As usual the four shortlisted have been selected by Franco Smith and his coaching team for their performance on and off field throughout December.

Supporters can vote for their warrior over on the Glasgow Warriors official Twitter page. Voting will close on 5pm Saturday 7th January.

The nominees are:

Jamie Bhatti

Leading the forwards throughout December, Bhatti has been instrumental in the winning form of the Warriors in recent weeks. Lethal with the ball and a controlling force up front, Bhatti has shown his skill and experience on the pitch.

Fraser Brown

Fraser Brown has been very coming into his own over the last few games. The Scotland International has been forceful in his tackles and his line out accuracy is uncontested within the URC. The physical play and accuracy has been crucial in the Warriors not just getting points on the sheet but winning their games.

Sione Tuipulotu

Player of the Match in the final game of the year, Sione Tuipulotu was on fire. Dominating runs and precision in passes, saw Tuipulotu involved in many of the build up play that led to the Warriors scoring on Friday’s 1872 Cup winner.

Kyle Steyn

Leading by example both on and off the pitch, Captain Kyle Steyn is nominated once again for Warrior of the Month.  ]Steyn was the first one on the score sheet on Friday’s 1872 Cup decider. Not content with just scoring, Steyn was involved with setting up George Horne’s classic try at the end of the game that solidified the win for the Warriors.
