Thistle Player of the Month voting underway for February

Partick Thistle experienced a bit of everything in February. There was cup disappointment, battling draws and a big win over a stubborn Ayr United side. Overall, the Jags were able to add five points to their tally in four league matches as they continue to push for as high a finish as possible.

There were a few players who stood out during February but only one player can win the McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month award and we need your help to decide a winner!

 Stuart Bannigan

After an impressive start to 2022, Stuart Bannigan carried his stellar form into February as he continued to play a vital role in the middle of the park. The club’s longest-serving player also hit an impressive milestone as he played his 300th game for Partick Thistle, against Morton at Firhill, becoming just the second player to hit that mark having debuted in the 21st century.

Robbie Crawford

Since signing early in the January window, Robbie Crawford has settled in nicely at Firhill. The former Ayr man has been growing every week and has started to show more of his attacking strengths over the past few games. Playing in a couple of different roles, he set up the winner against Ayr United and won the penalty which led to the Jags’ third goal against Inverness.

 Ross Docherty

Another member of the Thistle midfield unit who has been in good form is captain Ross Docherty. The number 23, operating alongside the aforementioned Stuart Bannigan, has been as important as ever to the operations of Ian McCall’s side, dominating the middle of the park against his former side Ayr and also putting in impressive showings against Inverness and Dundee United.

Brian Graham

Last month’s award winner Brian Graham is back in contention after four goals in five appearances during February. The passionate frontman started the month with a winning goal against Ayr United before going on to score a hat-trick in our 3-3 draw against Inverness. That hat-trick was the club’s first since Kris Doolan bagged four against Hamilton Accies in 2015.
