Two from McCreas Complete Round the Clyde Walkathon for CHSS

Team McCrea members Gillian Toner and Karen MacIntosh took part in the Round the Clyde Walkathon yesterday to raise money for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.

For those who haven’t heard of the Round the Clyde Walkathon but may be interested in taking part next year, here’s how Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland describe it:

"A fang-tastic urban circular route in the heart of Glasgow, with every step revealing the River Clyde’s boo-tiful history, with some trick or treats along the way!

There are two walks to choose from depending on walking ability. The route uses pavements and pedestrian footpaths and follows the edge of the famous River Clyde, our spook-tacular event marshals will be in place to cheer you on every step of the way!

The walk is perfect for participants of all ages and fitness levels, and is suitable for wheelchair users, prams, buggies, pushchairs and we welcome well-behaved dogs, and their owners too-hoo!"

Speaking about the event, Gillian said:

"We really enjoyed the day – the weather was great, whilst the volunteers and the band kept us entertained on the way round"
