Day to Day Life at McCrea

Gillian is our Mortgage Team leader, working closely with our Mortgage and Protection Specialist Ged Cumming. Her organisational skills and positive attitude make Gillian a real asset to McCrea Financial Services and McCrea Mortgages. 

Gillian has 24 years experience in the Financial Services Industry and holds the Certificate in Financial Planning 1 and CF6 – Mortgage Advice.

Life Before McCrea

I have worked in the Financial Services industry since I was 19 years old, after studying at Caledonian University, starting work as a receptionist before joining McCrea in April 2004. Prior to this, I had taken six months to travel to Hong Kong, Shanghai, and New Zealand. 

Favourite Thing About Working for McCrea

What I enjoy most about working for McCrea is my extremely friendly colleagues and that we all have the same goal – to be the best that we can be for our clients and the business at large. I also love the fact that no day is the same; there is no such thing as a typical day when it comes to dealing with property, which makes things more exciting and keeps me on my toes!

Out of the Office

In my free time, I enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures. I also enjoy taking part in and following sports activities, particularly a keen follower of Glasgow Warriors Rugby. I enjoy keeping fit and active;  in recent years I took on the challenge of the Glasgow 10k run, and in September 2017 I ran the RoadBlock Run for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland.
