Day to Day Life at McCrea

I have worked at McCrea since I was 17 years old, starting in a part-time role where I worked within the admin department for few years while I studied at University. In January 2021 I moved into a full-time Marketing role, and in Summer 2023 I became the Head of Marketing at McCrea. 

Each day is different in the office for myself; overall I'm responsible for the management and development of the Marketing strategy at McCrea, working on our sponsorship activations, charity partners, client engagement activities and much more. A lot of my time is taken up by planning our charity and client events that we host which I enjoy. 

Life Before McCrea

I went straight from finishing school to University where I studied Business & Marketing at the University of Strathclyde and graduated with an honours degree. A few months after I graduated from University, I started working full-time at McCrea, where I worked as the Marketing and Events Coordinator. 

Favourite Thing About Working for McCrea

I really enjoy organising and hosting our charity and clients events such as our Charity Golf Days, which are always a great day out and is very rewarding when the days go as planned. The sponsorship side of my job and working with professional sports clubs is enjoyable too and is interesting working with the clubs I support; Glasgow Warriors and Partick Thistle. 

Out of the Office

I spend most my time outside of the office watching football in person or on TV, training in the gym, playing golf very badly (but improving) or at the pub with my mates. 

Fun Fact

I’ve made a deal with my Dad (over a pint) that we will walk Everest Base Camp. I also won a free VIP trip to Las Vegas for March 2020, which ended up getting cancelled as I was meant to go the week that the UK went into a lockdown due to COVID - thankfully I was compensated with a money prize instead!
